Week One: January 28, 2006
This week we will be removing all the clutter so we can see what actually needs to be completed and evaluated. The photos you are looking at now are already after truck loads of boxes, clothes, personal items and furniture have been removed. Since there is a severe mold and mildew growth we will be fogging the house with a special chemical used to kill all germs, mold and mildrew. The crawl space and the attic will also be fogged. The fogging is done to prevent workers from getting sick. Here to View Photos >>

Week Two: Feburary 4, 2006
Continuing on, this week we plan to remove all the carpet to evaluate the hardwood floors. All additional items will be removed and the outside painting will be completed. Landscaping will start today and will go through several stages of cleanup and replacement. Several professionals will be visiting to give recomendations and ideas.
The MOLD inspection letter reported that we had one of the highest levels of mold ever found. To kill this Healthy Indoor Services, LLC (HISCO) 803-348-0568 fogged the complete house which includes the main living area, attic and the crawl space. The fogging was done twice and now new test are being run. We decided to leave the carpet in place so the mold in the carpet could be killed to allow safe removal by the workers. HISCO will be on Real Estate Focus this Saturday 2-4-2006 from 11 till 12 noon for a full report Here to View Photos >> See Visual Tour of Final Product by Clicking on this Link

Week Four: Feburary 18, 2006
We are now waiting on the painter before we can move forward with the hardwood floors, granite counter tops, new appliances and cabinets. The paint seems to take the longest. We are almost completed with the new heat and air and the termite work. Interior doors were ordered from Boozer Lumber Company. Boozer will be doing the cabinets and doors.

Week Five:
For the second week we have been held up by the painter. Paint crews are in high demand and we will not allow someone that is not the best. I can understand the furstration of many homeowners as they wait for professionals to do the work. I feel this will be worth the wait. Hopefully next week we will be able to give you a better progress report.
We are as excited as you are to see this house converted to a "Signature Home"

Week Seven
This week has been exciting. Charles Benjamin is truly a professional. He and his son Shawn have taken this house and made it shine. The complete inside is about 90 percent completed. There has been a remarkable transformation in the entire presentation of this house. Can you image what this will look like when the carpet, vinyl, appliances and new light fixtures are added.

We are slowly reaching the end of this massive project. The paint will be completed by the end of next week. The counter tops are being selected on this next Tuesday. Appliances are being ordered and we hope the sanding of the hardwood floors will be completed within two weeks.
We have decided to paint the outside, change the shutter colors and pressure wash the drive way.
I do understand how difficult it can be to make sure all the items fall in place and we are using hand picked vendors. By the way be sure to support our vendors. They are the best and they believe in doing the right thing for their clients.

This week has been slow. The inside paint is 98% complete. We have had the outside painted. The shutter color has been changed to black from green and the iron railings have been changed from greet to black. The floor sanders are going to start sanding next week and the granite counter top is being cut to fit. They are woking with the appliance dealer to custom fit the appliances. We hope to see a lot of progress as our 10th week begins next week. Be sure to check back weekly as we progress through the house in the pits.

WOW!! Look at the floor
Again this week seems to have gone slow only because the hardwood floors were the only thing we were completing. This takes a lot of time and the drying time for the varnish is usually 72 hours. Next week we will begain all the final items, appliances, countertops, carpet, vinyl and hardware on the doors.

After a couple of weeks delay we are back up and almost complete. This week we removed the air unit in the wall and built a bookcase. The oven had been installed, stove hood, most of the light fixtures and we are now waiting for the countertops. Hopefully we will have the Ultimate Home Makeover complete by next week with a full visul tour of the final product. Be sure to check back.
